Hi Andy really glad you managed to get to see the kingfisher and get a photo too, looks like the hunt is on now for more. i have seen them at moses gate country park but only as a flash of blue as they fly away but have heard they can be seen on the river near the foot bridge so will be checking it ...

Yes Andy it was a thrill,
only ever seen kingfishers as a flash of blue as the fly off so i was really pleased to get photos.

We managed to see the kingfisher at the Ron Barker hide from the right hand side at ground level. Hope that helps.

I would like to thanks John for organising this trip it was a wonderful day out, and to make it even better i got to photograph a bird i have never had chance to before. i know it might not be the best photo but I'm quite proud f it.
