Re: Printer Head Cleaning
Hi Everybody I'll never get used to the American way of dates? Looking at my ink details again its not 2004/ 2006 they are early in 2010:? I do have one though that is certainly 2009. I doubt I will get my heads clean, they are certainly no better and I've just tried a print and its terrible. So jus...

Re: Printer Head Cleaning
Hi Bert & Stu B Thanks for that. Your right the A3 printers are really several hundred pounds, I do need a printer though for the home prints my wife wants of her grand children maximum size 10 x 8 as well as any letters I need to type so I guess I may as well buy a new R800. I've got a printer ...

Re: Printer Head Cleaning
Hi Bert I received the cleaning system and have used it 3 times without success. One of them was a intensive clean and left overnight. If anything its getting worse, I seem to be loosing ink on the test patterns on area's I was not prior to cleaning. :x I'm going to give it one more go as I have ple...

Re: Printer Head Cleaning
Hi Thanks for the information and a special thanks to Stuart who has tried the cleaning method I'd seen when I searched the internet. I'm between the devil and the deep blue sea now, may still take it to the service centre though I can at least have a go myself if it happens again.

Printer Head Cleaning
Hi :D Has anyone tried the solutions that can be bought to clean printer heads, and were they a success ! I have tried the cleaning programme in the printer utility without success, after 4 attempts I think it needs a major clean as it looks as though 3 inks are only partially getting through. I hav...

Re: message to my sternist darkroom critics
Hi Mark
I'm pleased you have it sorted, it will save me bringing some of my night school prints from 1996. They have black/white and even greys.

Re: End of it's life?
Hi :-d I still use film though I do often think I'll go digital. For me though I think it would have to be a M9. Maybe one day I'll go that way, at least I'll have a few lens to fit. I just cannot bring myself to sell my M6 though, people are still paying lots of money for them on ebay, but if I do ...

Re: Advice re Film Scanners
There is nothing wrong with prints and albums Tom. Can't see a Care Assistant in a nursing home, during a Wednesday afternoon's reminiscing session, going through computer files or digital photoframes with me. Walter
Hi :-d Well I have started using my ...

Re: Advice re Film Scanners
Hi :-d Just thought I'd confirm that I took your advice ( not John's) and bought a scanner, went for a Epson, came yesterday as well as a new computer to handle all the work, so in a few weeks I'll start my scanning to get them all on disc. May also take the opportunity of putting the prints in albu...

Advice re Film Scanners
Hi  I'm looking to purchase a film/print scanner. I have spent two days sorting out my loft and realise that if I do not start to digitise my negatives/ prints soon I may never do it. I want to buy a good quality scanner that will do mainly 35mm negatives both strip and mounted as I have both, ...

Re: off camera flash
Hi Saw the thread about the off camera flash. Just thought I'd mention that I was interested in doing this a few years ago. I bought a whole load of kit  well two of each - Avenger Mini Kit Stands( code A615B),+ fittings for the tops ( to hold flash guns) I never got into it really ,I guess be...

Re: Gordon Jenkins - Colour
Yes it was a very useful. The best part was of course the comment about film being the best  recording medium for long term storage. Which brings me to the projection screen :) I trust that altering the angle of the screen to vertical for the NEW fangled digital projector will not be detrimenta...
