The last monthly competition of 2012 is prints, already all submitted and in Keith's safe hands.

We have a few new photographers around and to explain for their benefit, prints will be appraised by an external judge and given marks out of 20. The highest score for each entrant is used to make a league table and at the year end the highest total score wins the trophy.

As a sub-competition, all portraits are automatically put is an additional league table and the winner at year end receives the Les Law trophy. The late Les Law was a member well into his 80s and his family donated this portrait trophy in his memory. Les was a superb portrait photographer and we still have samples of his work in the clubrooms.

A couple of years ago it was decided that as December was such a short month, judges willing to visit were difficult to find and the weather could be unpredictable, that the next monthly after November would be in January instead. January will be projected digital images.
