Re: Forum competition #99 WET
Hi Folks
A very good and varied selection of images but all filled the theme perfectly,
Kevin,
A very strong image, well thought out and good camera technique,
John,
Not an easy subject to photograph, highlights well controlled and certainly a wet image,
Ian,
Certainly fits the theme of the comp, good depth of field and a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the water.
Yachtsman,
Super night photography, plenty of detail throughout the image, a good sky and superb reflections,
Janice,
A lovely image, good detail throughout the image a well chosen f stop and shutter speed, I would have just liked something for the eye to go to but well done.
Paul,
Surprise Surprise, a young lady in the bath, certainly wet, well exposed, sharp and no nasty shadows, good technique as always.
Keasla
Good exposure to get detail in both the blacks and the whites and no nasty highlights, well done.
Tracey,
Fits the brief perfectly, a well thought out image, just enough detail in the Abbey and not to much water on the glass.
Barry,
Another super image and a good example of how to take photographs at night, detail all through the image, I would have cropped some of the left side nearer to the phone box, but well done and superb reflections.
Richard,
Welcome to the forum and keep posting your images, a well taken shot in very poor conditions, certainly wet, I do a lot of sport photography and know the difficulties,
a bit to tight in the frame, needs more space on the right for the car to move into and car no 101 has had the top cut off, but well exposed and a good f stop and shutter speed has been used to make a very good image.
Thanks again for entering,
Result,
1st, IAN.
2nd Barry.
3rd Tracey.
Over to you Ian for comp no 100.
Regards and best wishes,
Bert.

Re: Forum competition #99 WET
Ah well, failed again!
As I mentioned in the general section, I usually scour my files for suitable subjects for the comp' then dump them when I've selected what I think fits the bill. This time I used the pictures in a simple slide show which I dedicated to the late David Barby (Bargain Hunt etc) who has given us immense pleasure over recent years & sadly died earlier this year. You can see the results on YouTube , see
