With reference to the idea of an exhibition of pictures from Wigan and Angers have a look at the following website:

The section "en images" is of particular interest.
The river Len was refering to is the river Maine which runs out in to the river Loire a few miles down the road.

I've passed through Angers. Let's just say it's slightly prettier than Wigan <grin>.

What does everyone think of the idea of an exhibition in Angers?

Wigan has some pretty (ish) spots you just have to look hard and close up to filter out the rest.
Coming from wigan i have to agree that Angers is a lot more beautiful, cleaner and healthier looking.
