I don’t suppose there is any argument about the quality from a DSLR over that of a phone, but that sometimes is the point – it’s about experimentation with image taking, in finding a more pleasing interpretation than one that is over saturated; over sharp; and with too much tonal range – as Philip Howe noted

But is that not what happens with the majority of digital imagery with CS, Lightroom etc, the number of submissions in the recent ‘Out of camera’ giving testimony to that [which for me was by far one of the better one off competitions at ADAPS]?

Dare to leave your DSLR at home and try a whole photo shoot on your iPhone?

I just tried this, and it was a lot of fun - however I also discovered a few things you need to look out for when using your phone for a "proper" full shoot, rather than just occasional snap shots on Instagram, etc.

Interesting what can be done with a camera phone ... like submit photos in the Annual DPI and get as good a score as most on the night.
