Astley Shoot Out

Post by Cookie »

Arrangements have been finalised for the night at the Astley Green Mining Museum, Higher Green Lane. It is happening on Tuesday 15th July from 7pm. John has organised a couple of models to be there.
All attendees must park on the car park in the grounds of the museum through the double gates, NOT on the pub car park.

Thanks, Glenys and Jim.

The Museum and the models (who are yet to be confirmed, but a couple of you will be expecting me to mention this very soon!) will appreciate a donation, so a voluntary one will be extracted via the usual thumb screws....you know I'm kidding' but anyone who can make a donation will find it much appreciated.

:)
Best regards

Do we need to register our interest or do we just turn up?

I think I'll put up a list in the clubroom so members can register interest there or here on the forum if they prefer.

It would be a shame if I arranged the models and only a couple of people turned up, so an idea of how many to expect would be much appreciated.

Put me down for a place, if you would, please John. I worked there untill 1964, and hated every minute of it, BUT, on the last two visits, a few years ago, I felt very sad that it's all but gone now.

Please add my name to the list for 15th July. I don't know where Astley Colliery is located but I expect there will be directions available.

I'll be putting up a list in the clubroom and names can be either entered on that or mentioned here.

The suggested donation will be £5.00 per person and this will help towards the cost of the models and also making a contribution to the Colliery. This can be paid in advance or on the night as you wish.

Models Emma (Goth) and Jade are confirmed.

We will be finding some period costume for Jade that hopefully fits in with the setting.

Those who do not want to get involved with a model shoot can of course still enjoy a very interesting outdoor and indoor venue!
Best regards

John Is there still places for this night? If so could you put my name on the list.

Being a new memeber I have no idea what the format for a night like this is. I would apprecaite it if someone could give me a brief insight so I know what to expect, thanks Andy

Because there is plenty of space at the open air museum numbers will not be a problem. Please add your name to the list on the clubroom wall, or here will do just fine as well. It's just to give me an idea of numbers, and at £5 per head how much we can afford to do on the night as regards models and donations.

Park inside the gates on the night from 7pm onwards and we will have the run of the site to ourselves. There will be one or more models (Jade and friends) and possibly Emma as well, and anyone wanting to do a model shoot in the unusual locations can do so.

So basically turn up, I will collect all the donations and don't forget to bring your cameras and tripods and have a great time.
Best regards
