"It won't be long" from the "Let it be" album. Gwen thought of a completely different image for this entry.......she's a mind like a sewer.....

Re: #209 - Beatles Songbook
Well done, with a little help from my friends, a great set of photos. Now to the judging......
A Hard Days Night = Great idea, lovely colour tones shading from day to night. Nice & sharp throughout and fits the title well.
Don't Bother Me = I had to listen to this one as I didn't remember it. Lovely moody B/W portrait, nice pose & deep black tones throughout.
Blackbird = Another great photo, good detail on the bird's chest feathers, sharp on the beak and eye. The background and stump are a little light
but the setting is natural, good DOF.
Flying = Great idea. The swans are sharp and well caught. A shame about the second swan's head being behind the first swan. A little blown out on
the last swan's wings.
Long & Winding Road = Another great photo fitting the song title. I remember walking down this road to the Abbey. Good colour and detail in the sky
and the people give the photo a good scale. Sharp throughout.
Yellow Submarine = This made me laugh. It reminded me of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Vivid colour, nice and sharp with no blown out highlights.
It Wont Be Long = Thanks Mel for reminding us,:) A well decorated tree in rich colours, nice & sharp but the top left corner keeps pulling my eye,
also the patch on the left. Is this really on your "Let it Be" Album as it's not on mine?
Shes Leaving Home = Another great B/W photo. Face nice & sharp with the train rails leading away into the distant misty background.
I Want To Hold Your Hand = Not sure I want to hold this one. I Hope your hand is alright Neil. Good natural colours to the hand and the blood finishes
off the image well. Perfect for Halloween too. A great idea well executed. Glad that Neil persuaded you to have a go.
I'm A Loser = A good B/W image of another title I had to listen to. A good portrait, nice detail in the shirt & waist coat, eyes sharp but i'm a bit
distracted by the grey triangle on the right side. Definitely a losing hand.
Now to the winners..........
3rd Place = Yellow Submarine by Janice
2nd Place = Don't Bother Me by stopher002
1st Place = I Want To Hold Your Hand by Joan Higham
So over to you Joan
