Thank you for all the entries. I'm not going to pass comment or critique, as they are all fine photographs in their own right.
There were a couple that particularly stood out for me. 'Land Ladies' by Andy (BydoR9) and 'Spitfire' by Simon. Andy's image captures the spirit of the British people and is a very good group portrait with lots of character; whilst the Spitfire flying high, for me, is a symbol of what makes this Land of Hope and Glory of ours so great. Indeed, who couldn't fail to be moved by the sight of a Spitfire and a Hurricane taking to the skies once more for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in April to mark the 100th birthday of Captain Tom Moore.
I kept going back and forth to decide the winner. In the end, I have chosen Simon's 'Spitfire'.
Over to Simon to set the next competition.
