Hi
I just wanted to thank Jim for the presentation he did at the club last night. The topic was interesting and informative and I feel like I have learned a little bit more about Wales than I did before. I particularly liked the story about the poet who went away to war and got killed before he received his long sought after prize of the chair, it was such a sad story, I was sooooo glad the lights were out as I had a fair size lump in my throat. Then the quiz at the end lifted the mood again. A really good evening, a little bit different from what we normally have but very much enjoyable all the same. Thanks again Jim for all your efforts, I for one enjoyed it very much.

P’nawn da.
I would also like to express my appreciation for the lecture given by Jim last night. As Lord Reith demanded of BBC programmes, it was informative, educational and entertaining. I found the AV of the poet very moving and this feeling was so obviously endorsed by other members of the audience by the atmospheric silence in the room immediately after the presentation
I congratulated Jim immediately after the talk but felt I would like to reinforce my thoughts by making a small mention on the forum.
Thanks once again James, I found it most exhortative and will be eternally grateful for knowing how to say Argentina in Welsh ~ I’m sure it will instrumental to my wellbeing some day and I will remember you. Hmmmmm....?
Hwyl fawr and Best Regards,
Thomas the Vice.

Re: Jim's Presentation
I wish to add my thanks to Jim for a very interesting and informative presentation.
Re: Jim's Presentation
During my presentation,I suggested that as a challenge I would invite members to select their own "Seven Wonders of North West England". Last week one person brought in her suggestions. I have mine ready as well. As we had a guest speaker last week, I felt it would be better to leave this item for a further week.
Should anybody wish to offer his/her suggestion, please bring it to the club on Thursday evening, written down, or send it to my private message box on this forum, or send to Glenys' e-mail address. If a suitable number enter I shall use the eatries to determine the 7 most popular.
Thank you to all who commented on the presentation.
Cheers,
Jim.
