I am very sorry to have to tell you that Len passed away yesterday. He has been very ill for some time but recently things deteriorated very quickly.
Len was a fine photographer, full of knowledge that he was happy to share, and an enthusiastic member and supporter of ADAPS. He also had a keen sense of humour and it was always a pleasure to talk with him.
Our thoughts go out to Alice and the rest of Len's family.

I'ts always very difficult to know what to say in these circumstances, because nothing really helps. I am sorry to hear about Len, as I always had a chat with him when he was at the club, and I will miss him greatly. My thoughts are with Alice and the rest of Len's family at this sad time.

The post that I was Dreading after hearing John on Thursday night.
Len was liked by everyone in the club and his approach was always with a smile. Although he shall be missed, he did leave behind, many treasured memories.

Len joined us at the History Shop in Wigan and helped to put up the exhibition of pictures two years ago and we were very grateful for his help and advice.
Our thoughts go with his wife and family.

I'd like to add my condolences.
I have only been a member for a short time, but sat next to Len at the front when he attended.
He always mentioned photographing steam engines, of which he told me he had taken many and travelled to shows etc, I didn't get to see any that he had taken.
Nice man.

My condolences also, to Len's family, I didn’t know him well, but on the few occasions I have spoken to him, I found him to be very likeable and friendly.

Myself, Des, Myra, Tom and Alan attended the funeral today.
One thing that did crop up was that as a schoolboy Len was awarded a very fine distinction "The noblest boy in the school" and I think that is a fine thought to share.
I'll give Alice a call in a week or two to see how she is.

Just to let you know that I spoke to Alice today and she's slowly coming to terms with her situation. It isn't easy for her, but she realises that she has to carry onwards.
I'll be going to see her on Friday, so I'll take any messages that you may have for her, in addition to our general Best Wishes.

Alice was looking so much better today. Her colour has come back and she was much more cheerful. She's thinking of moving into sheltered accommodation in the near future, nearer to her family and her church.
It's not easy moving on, but she is doing very well after only some 8 weeks or so. We'll keep in touch from time to time.
