Motocross

I went to my first Motocross event yestaerday and took a few snaps. It's a very difficult thing to photograph. As the surface is uneven, not only do you have to pan as the bike goes past you, but you also have to compensate for the uneven surface as well. The only way around this I could find was to freeze the motion with a fast shutter speed.
There are also a lot of distractions (ropes, poles etc) and at times you are very close to the action. I tried a variety of lenses, manual and Av settings, even tried both cameras.
I think I did well with a couple of shots, and overall I was pleased, as this was my very first attempt. Next time, I will have a better idea.
I've posted a little gallery in case anyone would like to offer any advice, I know a couple are slightly out of focus, but the audience for these is not a judge, they are simply for show.
