Which Monitor for editing

Post by Scuba Diver »

Hi folks
I'm looking for monitor, my pc is hooked up to a a Hi Def tv, but I have noticed that the colours aren't matching with CS5 photoshop, so I have been researching new monitors, as the old crt monitors are no longer with us (retail that is) I am led to believe these to be as good as the present day lcd's - just become old fashioned. Can anyone recommend a good lcd monitor for photo editing. It appears the more research you do the more questions you are left with. Most reviewers state that for good photo reproduction you need a monitor - with ips or s-pva technology, is this true or are there monitors out there without the aforementioned technology that can do the job equally as well.
