Hi folks,
Had a phone call on Saturday from my daughter who lives in Horwich that about a dozen photographers and twitchers where in the road where she lives, there was a flight of Waxwings having a rest and feeding on the berries in the trees, the Waxwings at this time of year are migrating from Russia, this is the best shot I got as the light was fading by the time I got over there.

I think we could all learn a thing or two about bird photography from you.

I think you should upload your image and some details of the location to the flickr autumnwatch site. You may well get onto the show it's the last one this Thursday I think. Great image.

It's no wonder birdwatching as a pastime is becoming more and more popular, there really are some beautiful creatures out there. This is a fantastic image.

Thanks for your comments, Autumn watch thanked me for sending them the photo's and they would forward the time and postcode of the sighting to the RSPB as they keep track of the migration and approximate numbes of the different species of birds, my images didn't make it on the programme, they get thousands of images, they justed showed two shots of the waxwings.
