One Proud Mom.....

Had a text msg from my eldest off spring & he is buzzin'. His main interest is his cars.. he's heavily into the car mods 'scene' to say the least & VDubs especially, but a little over twelve months ago he got into photography. Ok, so all he was after doing at first was taking photographs of his car at various stages of 'developement' and those of his friends, but it wasn't long before a 'dubbed meet' meant a camera shoot too.
Earlier this year one of the top enthusiast mags (Golf +) got in touch with him and asked that he write a piece on a 'meet' he'd helped arrange which was a huge & unmittigating success, & also supply the photographs to go with it... They weren't all his photos, some where taken by friends, but the artical and photographs were published in the July edition.

Tonights message was the news that he's been approached by another big name on the car scene, 'Wheel Whores'.. It would seem that at a recent meet, 'Players' - a big one on the car scene calendar, HIS photographs of the awards presentation at the end of the meet are better than theirs. Apparently my son is on their 'watch list' for the stuff he's producing as someone gave them the nod, not only that but it would seem they are looking for 'contributing editors'... & guess who's on their short list.

His photographs would definitely come under the 'enthusiasts' heading, but they've got him noticed. Who knows where they may lead him, but doors are opening for him that's for sure. Over the past 6 months or so he's started taking an interest in producing stuff other than just cars, he's exploring the advantages of a dramatic back drop, seeing photo moments in everything from discarded milk bottles to cloud formations, so who knows where he'll end up.
Way to go son... so proud of you.. & just had to SHARE it..
