I've just seen this on ePHOTOzine. My feeling is that the basic portrait is excellent and the added swirls aren't needed. They detract from the overall effect for me. Any effect in an image IMHO should add something. If anything in a picture isn't needed, then cut it out....

Clearly your ability to shoot an excellent portrait is well sorted out though.

Have to agree with John.
I do like the idea of the green dots behind her hair, however, I think it's a very good portrait without adding anything else to it.
