I have a group photograph (scanned) and I would like to create an image whereby I leave the outline of each person in which I can place a number and then list the names. I use PS elements 10 or Paint Shop Pro X2. Does anybody know if this can be done please?
Janice.

Re: Group Photograph
There's probably a way of doing it using filters and the like, but what immediately springs to mind is creating a new layer on top of your image, physically drawing round the outline of each person using a black solid brush, and then changing the bottom layer to a white layer. Depending on the number of people in the shot it shouldn't take long, as long as you don't need extreme accuracy in the outline.
Alternatively, you could always lower the opacity of the image so that the number is easy to read when you put it on there, but instead of an outline you still have a faint version of the original.

Re: Group Photograph
Hi Kevin, thanks for the help - worked a treat! I created a new layer and selected using the quick selection tool , within the new layer I was able to use the fill colour which filled in all the outlines. I then saved the new layer as a seperate doc and was left with a perfect outline copy. (First time I have ventured into layers!!)
Many thanks
