Union Jack Photos

Post by PhilipHowe »

I've gone a bit patriotic with my last couple of shoots, what with the Olympics and it being a jubilee year. If I get enough together, I may do myself a little book.

They're all great, but the one of Olivia is truly stunning, in my humble opinion.

Thanks all for comments.

Tracey, I thought you'd like that one the most somehow (it was Tracey's idea). I don't know whether I like the second one best or not. I like the eyes in the third. More to come as I'm doing a series.

The second and third are taken in a club in Wigan, which is an ideal place to shoot and setup a studio. You never know, there may be a group shot coming up there soon, if there is any interest....

Hi Philip

Whilst I like the overall theme and style, I think that the girl in the second photo looks a bit 'sweaty', with the sheen on her cheeks and forehead.

It can be a nuisance sometimes. It's something that I try to keep an eye on during shoots and occasionally stop shooting and ask them to apply more makeup.

I would think that you could clone/reduce/paint out the amount of shine, or leave it if it doesn't bother you.

Thanks
Paul

I prefer the last one, with the model lying down.
