13th September 2012 - Out of Africa

This one is a presentation by our very own Vice-Chair Tracey McGovern, and I know that she is putting a lot of thought into making the evening as entertaining and informative as possible.

In a relatively short time, Tracey has developed into an excellent photographer, so we should have an really good evening. And with Africa as a subject there should be plenty of exciting images to see.

See you there!

Thanks John - No pressure there then

If I throw up tonight - please no-one worry, it will just be the nerves kicking in.

See you all tonight -

Tracey,

If that was indeed your very first presentation talk at ADAPS you should be very proud.

You allowed us to share your never-to-be-forgotten experiences in Africa and kept us all well informed re some of the background stories to the images in a very pleasant and entertaining manner. Some of the images you displayed were truly superb.

Many thanks for sharing it.

Barry

Just like to join in with the accolades Tracey. Very impressive presentation and some (lots) super pictures.
Now, if only all the future presenters are as good (and as good looking) as you it will be a great season.

Cheers

Michael

Hi All

Thank you soooooooo much for all the lovely comments. I'm so glad that everyone seemed to enjoy the night, I was worried and conscious of not wanting the evening to be boring and hope people found it informative and interesting.

It has been alot of work going through all my photos, deciding which to put in and which to leave out, then processing them as they were all RAW files (apart from the ones taken with my compact), then deciding how I wanted the presentation to look and feel and finding the right music to go with it.

I really enjoyed the whole process as it took me back to last year when we went on the trip and brought many good memories back, things I had forgotten.

The scary bit was then to present it to all of you, soooooo relieved it is now done and that many of you seemed to enjoy it, for that I am glad and extremely grateful.

Best Wishes

Tracey xxx

An excellent, interesting presentation with some brilliant photos to boot, many of which we haven't seen before (have you been holding back?).
Glad that you enjoyed it Tracey, as I am sure we all did.

Keith.

Would have responded on here sooner, but just got my internet back after it apparently moved out on thursday morning. ( I have now got a Virgin super hub, just like you :-d ).

Well done Tracey, never doubted you could do it. You have a lot of excellent images there and I hope to see them do well in the comps. I particularly enjoyed the portrait shots of the children, and I loved seeing the school we sent the parcel to. Great evening - very entertaining.

I will bring my calender along and book you in for next year now!!
