Atherton & District Amateur Photographic Society

On the 15th of November I will be organising the Members Critique Night, on the night there will be 20 photos displayed on the projector from 20 different members. It will be a first come first served. Your photo can be of anything you want as long as you have taken them and have never been see at the club, on the forum, facebook page, flickr, ephotozine or anywhere else, also please don’t watermark your image.

All photos must be:
1400x1050 pixels
72 DPI
sRGB

If you don’t know how to do this just send/give me your photo as a normal full size photo and I will change it for you

You can email me your photo or you can bring it on a CD/DVD or a flash drive up to 2 weeks before the 15th of November.

If you email your photo please include your full name and title of the photo on the image name. eg. Jared Hull Machine Room Astley Colliery.jpg

If you are bringing a CD/DVD/Flash Drive please add your name and the title to the image name. eg. Jared Hull Machine Room Astley Colliery.jpg

Check List:
Photo never been seen before.
don’t watermark your image
Add your name and title the photo.
Image is the correct size (if you don’t know how, I will do it for you).
Correct DPI (if you don’t know how, I will do it for you).
Colour Representation that is sRGB (if you don’t know how, I will do it for you).
Sent/given in before or on the 1st of November.

We'll mention this on Thursday night and hopefully encourge a few more entries. The aim of this is to help and encourage members, so please support the event if you can!

Come on everyone, get your images sent to Jared. This is an ideal opportunity to get some good feedback on your images other than competition nights, it's the only way to improve by seeing your pictures from someone else's point of view, we promise not to bite, don't be shy

Is it limited to one per member? Critique nights are a great idea and as Tracey says, a great way to improve and learn from unbiased comment.

as we had a Critique the comittee the other month i take it that this is up for none committee members to enter or is it everyone ?

Nice one Peter and yep we ARE abnormal

Don't forget to support Jared in this interesting idea for appraising images. We shall be there, and we promise to stop pulling legs regarding "normal" members! (OK, that was the last time....)
