Ever wondered what goes on after the door is closed? Here's a view of our dishwasher in action:

That's not how you're supposed to clean your sensor, John. :-d

Fascinating shot John, how did you do this?

Pauline, not having a man-sized dishwasher, sorry to disappoint Pensioner, I used a Pentax W90 waterproof compact. Flash activated, Interval timer set to take 20 images at 10 second intervals after an initial delay of 1 minute.

The 1 minute delay gave me time to close the door and start the machine. The cycle was a 12 minute cold water rinse only. No detergent, just in case any abrasive scratched the lens.

After that, it's just a matter of reshooting until the result is what we want, although the first 20 shots luckily gave me some images I liked.

Thanks John you certainly have a very active imagination to come up with the idea. Well done I'm sure there will be a few others giving this a try.

Hi John, that is a fantastic image and something
I'd never thought about.
Maybe they should put glass doors on them
like washing machines to save on cameras, I think the wife and I had
the very same cutlery till recently.
