I've started this thread in anticipation so we can see what photographic goodies were in the Christmas stocking, so I guess that lets out all those jokes for a start.....

I am anticipating being allowed to try the Pentax Q Adapter. This allows use of DSLR lenses on the tiny Q mirrorless camera. There is a 5.5x crop factor, so the plan is to use the 100mm f2.8 Macro, which becomes a 35mm-equivalent 550mm f/2.8 Macro. That has some potential for wildlife and for very unusual perspective close up, provided the lenses are good enough for the quality to hold up.

It will be fun anyway!

Hoping to get some radio triggers for my off camera flash if mama has been kind enough, also hope to be getting a few photo books from the beloved so thats me for now I have had to fill in a few blanks from the amazon wish list too

I anticipated National Trust membership so I can go round all the fabulous places with my camera - and I got it!!!

An added and very pleasant bonus was a subscription to National Geographic. There should be some photographic inspiration in there!
