Hi all,

Just need some technical advice really - I own a Sony NEX 5n which is an amount system.

I am trying to find a lens which is a super wide angle lens but I'm reading lots of conflicting advice all over the internet.

I currently have a 16mm pancake, 18-55 kit lens and will have a 30mm macro at the end of this month. I know I can get an adaptor to go into the end of the pancake but I just don't want to be wasting my money buying something that won't really change much

The items I think might be what you need are:
VCL-ECF1 for 16mm lens, converts to fish-eye £139
VCL-ECU1 for 16mm lens, converts to ultra-wide angle £119

These are original Sony or Carl Zeiss lenses, so I would expect them to be very satisfactory, especially when the main lens is stopped down.

I was afraid that a converter may be my only way. The only other way I can think of is having an e mount to a mount converter and using an a mount lens.

Times like this I wish I'd bought a fully fledged DSLR :/

It's the price we pay for the design type I'm afraid. Using a DSLR lens is OK, but it will be an expensive lens and adapter and I would guess no AF, so not a great choice cost-wise or functionality-wise.

To be honest all my photos are in complete darkness so it's manual all the way but I can see where you're coming from.

Converter it is!!
