This event is by our very own double act Gerry & Jared. They will be taking us through the steps involved in making an HDR image. The last talk Gerry gave was a great success but there wasn't enough time in one session so they are back by popular demand.

I would like to thank Gerry and Jared for a really informative evening last night. Their willigness to share how they produce their images is great and an inspiration to the rest of us.

You both certainly know your stuff, another informative evening where you revealed your tricks and tips, I just wished I could remember a quarter of what you showed us. A very popular evening judging by the full house and extra seats having to be found. I'm sure this weeks splash theme will be just as successful, looking forward to seeing how it's done. Now I've downloaded photomatix I now wish that I'd taken notes during Gerry's bit. It seemed so logical and intuitive when Gerry & Jared talked us through it last week. Not now though.........
When are you doing part 3 guys?

Thanks Philip. I like the tutorial that you posted as it is really useful and answers some of my questions.
I'm at the poke and hope stage at the moment and my first dabblings have produced over the top, unnatural end results, see below. I don't even know what I did with this one, I just played about with the buttons & sliders until it looked HDR"y.
I need to try to be more subtle and use a little finesse to get some more natural images.
