Now at last we can see where the tie up with Samsung was as the new K20D has a Samsung-manufactured 14.6MP CMOS sensor.
Other added features include a synch socket for external flash, Live View with AF and exposure metering, 14 bit processing, improves dust removal, pixel mapping, dust spot mapping and vastly increased battery life thanks to the lower power requirements of the new sensor.
The exiting 10.2MP CCD of the K10D has been put into the lower priced body which becomes the K200D and which also has most of the various electronic improvements of its more expensive brother.
Coupled with an ever increasing trange of superb lenses, including new weather resistant designs, the Pentax range is gathering pace.
For those who want the quality but want to save money, the Samsung variants are identical apart from some menu differences and body and lens styling sufferences.
