Wildlife Photography Weekend – 20th/21st April

Join us for a fun and interactive two day foundation course covering numerous aspects of photography with a focus on wildlife techniques. The course includes a day’s organised tour of Anglesey’s wildlife hotspots giving you an invaluable opportunity to try out your new skills with an experienced team.

DAY ONE

Tutorials provided by Castle Vision Photographic:

A brief history of art, wildlife art, the invention of the camera and the switch to the digital age. A discussion about perspective, composition, design and techniques. Camera & lens basics, design and controls. The pros. and cons. of various types of modern cameras and lenses. A discussion about megapixels, sensor sizes, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO performances etc.

Afternoon session on the Glan Morfa reserve to practice your techniques and gain confidence with your camera.

DAY TWO

A full day, photography-specific, wildlife tour on Anglesey from Naturebites (both Ken & Kathy) as well as Laurence from Castle Vision Photographic to help with the technical stuff!

We give you a chauffeured day out searching for wildlife on the island with the chance to put your new photography skills into practice.

Help and advice will be freely available from your photography tutor Laurence as well as wildlife expertise from Ken and Kathy.

Price for the 2 day course will be £150 per person.

Accommodation: Self-catered accommodation is available on the course site at Glan Morfa on Anglesey. There are B&B’s and other cottages in the local vicinity too. Just let us know if you would like to us to arrange this for you in advance either as an individual, couple or as a group booking.
