Had a bad night in the darkroom, nothing would go right so decided to have a go at some HDR shots. They are not up to Keith's standard but I don't think they are bad for a first attempt. one standard B+W the other is a sudo inferred.

Mark, as tests, I think they are ok. I would like to see som real black in the second image though.

Well it was only a matter of time before you would succumb Mr Dyson. Saw a nice sky the other day that would go well in your first image, I'll send you the location in a PM

Like I said I had a bad night in the darkroom so I needed some light task to get back into the train of thought, so I went digital for the night. I am cured now. The HDRs where pretty poor but also did some nice seascapes in b+w.

Being serious though, I much prefer the second photo. It has good tones. If you hadn't labelled it as 'HDR' I wouldn't have known.
I see so many badly overcooked HDR images that they give the HDR movement a bad name.
Your first image doesn't do much for me, sorry. For one, I find the pitch black sky too dominant.
It's good to see you posting images Mark.

I think HDR is fine for urban landscape as it can have the gritty, dirty feel to it. I may try it again with a suitable subject. PS don't tell Walter.
