Well I thought as there has been some critism (well received and constructive I may add!) that not many peeps use the forums I thought I'd put some on here and facebook ADAPS page which I have taken recently at a wonderfully sunny day at Chester Zoo.

Well done Allan, it's a neat trick if we can exclude as much as possible of the backgrounds. It hides the zoo element and does improve the images.

These are great images, getting in close and eliminating as much of the background as possible helps to draw the viewer into the image and the animals, if all these were taken in just one visit to the zoo then you have done extremely well, as I say, you have got some cracking imaged there - well done

Thanks again for your comments, it was a long day much to the annoyance of the kids and wife but worth it as I got some images which I love. A lot of them if notall have been post processed quite a bit but I take that as all part of the creative process.

These are great pictures post processed or not and miles better than the ones I got from Chester Zoo yesterday. You should be very
pleased with them. I know that I would. Just for the record which camera/lens combination did you use please?

Thanks for your feedback, I think I may have seen your pictures on facebook this morning and thought yours were great as well. The Tiger one was fab with it's very clam pose, almost like a portrait shot

My camera lens combo for this day was a Nikon D5100 coupled with a Tamron 70-300 USD lens with image stablisation. Post processing was done using the Nik Software (Viveza and Color Efex) which Gerry uses and has demonstrated on his demonstration nights at the club.

hehe don't get me wrong I love looking at super pictures of beautiful ladies, just I can't take them or any portrait shot for that matter. Too shy
