Most of the ten I could live without, except for the Vietnam War; 9/11 North Tower; and the Black Power salute. Not counted in The Last Supper as its a painting, but that could lead to Top Ten Paintings That Changed The World!

I don't think there are ten top images, there are many more than that. There should be a nice Taschen book "1000 Images That Changed The World", which might be more like it.

Strange how 8 of the "top 10" involve America.
I'm sure there are many more images, WW2 Jewish death camps,
etc come to mind.
Not sure how some of these have 10 changed the world though?

I think, when looking at the images you also have to consider the era's and lifestyles of people at the time. Pictures (albeit America) of foreign climbs were not an everyday occurrence to the common man. Communication wasn't then what it is today. Video was only for Hollywood. (You just couldn't Google stuff,,,lol) I can remember as a child seeing the image of the Earth from a moon orbit, and being totally flabbergasted by it ..

Of the "Top 10" listed the ones that stand out for me are:
'Lunch atop a skyscraper' - I never get tired of seeing this brilliant image.
More info - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunch_atop_a_Skyscraper
Annie Leibovitz: 'Pregnant Demi Moore' - How many times have we seen imitations of this?
