Atherton & District Amateur Photographic Society

I went to Liverpool on Monday with the family with the hope of sloping off and seeing this, however, the family tempted me to stay with them (fish and chips, sweets, ice cream, usual things). So, I'm thinking of going over there on Saturday, especially to see this.

Has anyone been?

I was wondering if anyone had been, or, if indeed, I do get chance to go, whether anyone would like a trip? I will be going on the train, with or without camera. I have to say, other than knowing a few good pubs, I don't know Liverpool very well at all. I did manage a couple of photos on Monday of the stunning architecture around the docks, but that is all.

I was there last tuesday. It's a great exhibition, with some very moving images and stories behind them.

The photos of Louise Page were very powerful indeed and brought a lump to the throat.

Me and Pauline went a few weeks ago but only paid it a passing glance. It is a moving exhibition and the whole gallery is worth a visit.

Don't forget if you are going by train from Newton le Willows line to consider buying a 'Savaway' ticket as it allows you to travel on the bus train and ferry for £4.80 all day, we have used it twice now and it has always been good value!
