This follows the announcement that FRONT magazine is also closing:

Will there be any Lads Mags or Mens Mags left soon?
Will there by
ANY magazines left at all as more and more people find their reading and enjoyment on the Internet?
Do you buy photography magazines? It's ages since I bought any, but I browse through them occasionally in the newsagents and have noticed they are getting a lot thinner.

I've been subscribing to PhotoPlus magazine, primarily for Canon users, since it's first edition in 2007. I should cancel it really because a lot of the information in there gets repeated over time but to be honest, I still like seeing it drop through my letterbox and I still like reading the articles and looking at the pictures

I should really start throwing out the earlier editions because they take up so much room. I wonder if they are worth anything?

Keep them long enough Tracey and they could be worth something, as most people will have thrown them into the recycling system.
As for paper magazines in general, their appeal is waning, although they will be around for a while yet.

I used to buy Photography Monthly, Practical Photography, Professional Photographer, Photo Professional every month, but yes, the information does tend to get regurgitated over time.
I rarely buy magazines now, but still buy photography books and DVDs as they seem more long-lasting and useful.

I buy whatever female orientated magazine, ie glamour etc that is on offer about every two months, as I find that's the standard that models want in the photos, but that's all.

When we lived in Leyburn North Yorkshire, the Library stocked a copy of AP, so while my Wife browsed the novels I browsed AP. The last periodical I subscribed to was Computer Active, but that was over 10 years ago. IMO most photography mags are just a vehicle for high priced advertising. I won't miss them.
