Black + White Photography.

Whenever I edit my shots I always produce two final images, a colour image and a black and white image.

I've been going through my shots from Whitby taken last weekend, and I've found myself drawn to the black and white version of each shot I've taken.

Any comments appreciated, ta.

Fair comment, black and white can be a powerful medium.

Phil, all too often a mono conversion of a colour image is just that and it doesn't always suit as a genre, but there are elements in this image that for me make the mono version the better image.

Hi Phil

Both of these work for me. But I think the black and white has the edge. ;-]

Nice one!

Hi Phil

I definitely prefer the B&W.

Agreed, B&W for me.
In colour, I'm attracted to the red top of the can and the yellow bit on his collar. The black and white one is a bit more concentrated on the bloke, which I think is the point.
