... because a rowdy bunch of over-excited high school grads might just push you into a freezing fountain and destroy all your camera gear..... leaving a Nikon D4, Nikon D3, Nikon 70-200 f/2.8, Nikon 17-35 f/2.8, Nikon 35-70 f/2.8 , 64GB iPad Retina and iPhone5s all waterlogged and ruined.

He'll be insured and his cards will be fine. He won't do too bad out of it either as he's getting exposure from it, hundred thousand extra clicks on your website etc.

I think I would rather not get dunked in the water than go through all the hassle of trying to claim off the insurance company :-O

Mine has an old for new, 48 hour replacement.
I wonder what they'd do with my Canon 5D mk1..... haven't had to claim off them at all though.

Or you buy weather resistant cameras and lenses. Many of them would stand a brief dunking in water, although that is a bit beyond what they are designed for.

Not forgetting the insurance claim for:

- damaged knee
- whiplash
- time off work
- emotional distress
- ruined clothing
- etc...

I went through Swinton Insurance. The one I ended up with, you have to go through a broker, you can't go direct. It covers me for my studio as well. I can't remember their name, but I'll find it.
