Atherton & District Amateur Photographic Society

The ADAPS Year Book 2007-2008 has just finished its editing and production phases and now a sample book is being printed.

The images have been provided some while ago by members, so thank you for your patience, but very soon you will be able to view a copy and decide if you would like one for yourselves. Newer members will not be represented this time but if this trial meets with approval then we can repeat it and everyone will get a chance to be included.

It runs to 44 pages, approximately A4 size in landscape format. The hardcover with dust jacket version I have ordered would cost £45, a softcover version the same size would be about £35 and a smaller softcover version approx 8 by 6 inches would be about £25. The price would only be lower if we could order 25 copies or more, so we shall see what happens. These prices are at cost and no profit is involved for anyone, so the cost is as low as possible.

I'm looking forward to seeing the result and hope we will end up with a coffee-table book standard of fine printing and a very nice snapshot of our images for the last season.

Just think how rare this book could be! No sneaky offering them on eBay....

No worries, I thought three size books in four hours was pretty good going. The standard of the photographs was very high and I especially like the front cover. I will be excited to know what you all think of it when it arrives. It should be about 10-14 business days.
