IN FOR A PENNY ........

Hello again

Nice to get your comments and much appreciated. A bit of chat about the subject .
La Corbiere Lighthouse in Jersey. From the bus stop to the lighthouse must be at least
quarter of a mile and downhill to the road to it so pictures from the top of the hill meant
that the horizon did go through the top of the lighthouse - quite right Paul. From ground
level a bit better.
In my defence as a self confessed 'snapshotter' when I'm on holiday I take holiday snaps (sad)
so I might not take as much care as I would on, say, a club outing. My excuse.
Anyway a few more for your amusement ( and chat hopefully).

Michael

I love the first one on here Mike, despite the horizon line still cutting through the top, although a little lower. I like the composition and the colour and lots of detail in the images. I know Corbiere but it is a long time since I was there. I am also a holiday snapper - a bit grab and run style. Wish mine were as good as these. I will get there.

I think Paul was right to mention the horizon line in the other images, and here once it's eliminated as in picture 3 then it does seem to improve the shot.

It looks like a great location.

Mike, I'm with you when on holiday, when not alone, for me it's about enjoying the company and moment with a few seconds to snap. Whereas on my own, the time is all mine to do as wish ...

And I agree with John, the third image benefits from being horizon free.
