Hi,

Further to Thursdays meeting, here are the dates you need to keep in mind for this month.

Thursday January 15th : Inter Club Battle (at ADAPS), against South Manchester Camera Club.

This is our very first head to head battle against this very well respected club from Didsbury. It promises to be a good contest, and I am sure we will make them feel welcome on their first visit.

Thursday January 22nd : Monthly Competition ( digital images )

The closing date for entries is now next Thursday night ( 15th Jan ). You can enter up to three images, which you can bring them on pendrive or CD or email them to me at the usual address...

Monday January 26th : Our annual Inter Club battle against St Helens, at St Helens.

Further details, including the start time, and directions for the venue, will be posted nearer to the time. This is usually a good night and everyone is welcome to come along and support the club, and eat their buffet..

Hi Sorry but I won't be there tonight. From here it's a round trip of over 40 miles and at
my speed about an hour each way (assuming I don't get lost on the way).

Best of luck and let's knock 'em dead. Hope that last week's judge gets a couple of marks
knocked off one of his pictures for having a daft title. (Sour grapes) Lol.

Hi,

Well we just got back from a very good night in St Helens for our annual interclub battle.

Once again we received a very friendly and warm reception from the club with a very nice buffet, and raffle. ( in which two of us also won prizes )

The top scoring images were Traceys' Cats Eyes and Moroccan princess, which both scored 20 points, and Dannys' 'Bald eagle' and Deans' 'In thought' which both picked up 19 points.

Other contributors to our entry were Lesley, Gill, John, Andy, Jared, Gerry, Stuart and yours truly.

St Helens as always were warm and friendly and provided splendid hospitality. Looking forward to a return engagement at ADAPS next year!
