Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November 2015 - Studio Workshop

This will be a two day event with the following schedule:
Saturday morning
Explain how to set up camera for studio use
Use of studio lights
Different modifiers (reflectors, umbrellas, softboxes)
Explain high key & low key
want this to be practical, therefore best to bring a camera
Saturday afternoon
A studio free for all, if you want to bring family or friends & have a go at shooting under studio light then feel free (no pets though as I am allergic to dogs). I would just like an indication of numbers
I will make myself available for assistance with lighting or posing as required
Sunday morning
Same as Saturday except leaving out the basics (unless beginners book on)
Sunday afternoon
Model shoot - provisionally (if people want specific things we can try & work with it)
1hr basic head & shoulders
1hr trying to get some quirky shots
1hr either on floor or seated but having to pose whole body
1hr standing

There will be a charge for the model session on Sunday afternoon, and the model will be Rebecca.
The event will be run by Dean Padley and Gill Blower and I will be there to help out as well.
Please indicate below if you would like to attend the Sunday afternoon, as numbers for that session will be limited to 5 people. There is no limit on the other sessions, and you can bring your own model for the Saturday afternoon session.

Charge is £15 per person. Please be aware our model is 16 years old so you will require a model release form.
If you have missed out on Sunday with the model then don't forget you can still attend the tutorial on Saturday morning and you have the option to bring your own model for the afternoon session. There is no charge for Saturday.
Thanks to Dean Padley for giving up his time to do these workshops and share his knowledge with club members

Sorry Gill. Incorrect information.
There is no requirement under UK Law for model release forms (though it can be handy to use them if you are intending to publish or licence images, for example via stock libraries).
Persons aged under 18 are classed as children. A child does not have the legal capacity to consent and a parent or guardian must consent on his/her behalf.

We usually get a guardian to sign for any models who are under 18!

Well, the first day is completed and it was highly successful. Many thanks to Dean for all his hard work and to our various models who all did a super job.
Here's looking forward to Part Two tomorrow!

Thanks to Dean for an excellent workshop.....learned a lot today. Hope everyone got some great pictures of the lovely Rebecca. Sorry I had to leave early!
