Saturday 4 June 2016 - Critique Session

From 10am to 12 noon John Riley and Paul Jones will be on hand to offer critique on your images, either prints or digital files.
This is particularly intended to offer guidance to newer members and beginners in general to help you improve your pictures.
So bring your images along and we'll look at them in a friendly, small group situation, so no need to feel intimidated by a huge audience.

I think that this is a great idea and it's good of John and Paul to volunteer to do it. Can I make a suggestion please?
As last Thursday night and next week's is for maintenance this might not get the publicity it deserves so maybe anyone
who has read about it could give an indication that they will be there as it would be a pity to waste John and Paul's time..
Not everybody reads the Forum so perhaps it would be better to leave this for a couple of weeks so that it can be announced
on later club nights.?

It can be repeated if necessary Mike, but unfortunately this is the only slot available in June. There's no reason why it can't be done again in July or later.
As long as anyone interested turns up, we'll be happy to help them as required.

Yes, a couple of people approached me at the club to enquire about how they should bring their images.
Digital or print, it's up to you.

I enjoyed it. Let's do it again soon.
Everyone seemed to have a good time, and practical sessions like today's explanation of hyperfocal distance all help us to become better photographers.
Thanks John.

Once again, a most productive session. Critiques were fair & balanced and the practical demonstration of hyperfocal distance was better than any diagram in a book! I think I've finally got it now!
Thanks John & Paul.
Regards,
Phil.
