Let's follow Tracey's lead and go with a colour theme.

I find white very difficult to render and struggle with high key images.

Any subject but the image must work because of the white bits.

Thanks for a fine set of images.

I will do my best to judge them. It will only be my opinion but I will try and explain what I think.

Tracey. No surprises here, it is a lovely image. Beautiful whites and a very nicely composed scene. I like the white vignette and I love the subtle brown colours in the tree and fence. A classic image.

Joanne. I like these sort of detail images, the cracked white paint and spots of rust work very well. I find the grey scratch on the top pole a little distracting and the wave line doesn't work for me. I wonder if moving up slightly would have filled the central triangle with a simple sand background and strengthened the detail on the bench.

Janice. Owls are always good. The eyes are striking and I love the feather detail. I am not sure whether the snow has been added but I like the background texture. A fine image.

John. A nice snow scene with a Christmas card feel but the modern world intrudes a bit, notably the telegraph wires and the dirty snow in the road.

Andy. A great architectural image. The whites are lovely and the symmetry is spot on. The people at the end give a great sense of scale.

bazzasmeg (sorry I can't always put real names to usernames!). I like this a lot. There is a lot of landscape with a slightly compressed view (? long lens) and lots of leading lines taking me through the image. There a nice shadows but I wonder whether the whites could be brightened slightly.

Stuart. You obviously take refreshment at posh venues where all the spoons are lined up! I am more used to plastic spoons in a pot. This makes a striking pattern but it lacks a focal point. It could have been good to fill one of the cups with tea.

Now for the difficult bit. All of the images are good but the chain breaks if I don't choose a winner.
