Appleby horse fair

Had a ride up to Appleby this morning to take a few snaps. There are photo opportunities by the score, just don't expect to be the only person with a camera <grin>.
Most of the 'action' takes place on the road that runs past the river and in the river itself where the horses are washed and taken for a swim. Not too many of the people there seemed to want to get their feet wet - the river is very shallow - but there were lots of shots for the idiots who did.
I think it ends tomorrow, but I'd certainly suggested going next year.
