During Johns presentation of shutter speed last night myself and others in the clubroom were considerably distracted by private conversations which were taking place as John was doing his presentation. Please be mindful that other club members pay good money for a membership would like to listen to the presentation.

This seems to happen frequently when we have presentations. The volume of these conversations is such that it makes some of the presentation inaudible. The odd comment is fine, but discussions are disrespectful to the presenters.

You could just ask them to "be quiet".

Yes, sometimes private conversations during the presentations are a little too loud and distracting. If the conversation is relative to the evening, and the speaker welcomes interaction (as John did) why not address the comments to him, so the club can participate
