#268 Time...

I have chosen the abstract subject and the precious gift of time. Precious because once you give someone your time, you can never get that time back, no matter how rich or famous you may be. So your offerings can be from anything that indicates time or the passage of time. So, time to put your thinking caps on...I look forward to your interpretations. Closing date/time is Sunday 24 April at 10pm. Good luck!

Doc, You're saying you built a time machine out of a DeLorean!

I had a couple of likely images, but the word 'Time' always makes me think of Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, and the album track of the same name 'Time'.

Well, my topic didn’t attract many entries this week, but we had three good entries:
DARREN:
Back to the Future - Dr Emmett Brown – brilliant interpretation of the topic. A little tight in the frame, and a narrower aperture would have given you a greater depth of field, the image goes soft towards the rear of the car. Top marks for interpretation!
JOHN:
This is a superb macro image – pin sharp from front to back., and well lit. It would be good to have had a little more light in the gears under the top left hand corner, but with such a small subject it isn’t easy.
Sue:
Really good interpretation of the topic. The focus is soft on the skin surrounding the eye, but it is sharp where it needs to be – in the centre – and that draws your eye into the watch dial. Being picky there are some slight white marks in the centre of the watch dial – I don’t know if that’s just marks on the watch dial or reflections from the surroundings, but the overall impact of the image made me smile – excellent!
Lesley:
A good photo taken under difficult conditions. Again, being picky, there is no detal in the guitarist’s face, but at events like this and with just stage lighting, it is very difficult to take shots, examine them, and re-take when you are surrounded by audience members dancing in their seats. In most theatres photography is banned, so most of the time a sneaky shot has to be taken, and probably on a mobile phone. Given that, the quality of the shot is very good.
So, my choice is:
First: John
Second: Darren
Third: Sue
So over to you John, to choose the next topic and deadline.
