Canon 24-105mm f4 lens

Does anyone use the canon 24-105mm f4 lens on a 400d body? If so have they had any problems with the lens? I am considering purchasing one and was talking to Theo about his. He mentioned he had problems with "back focussing" when using it with his old 300d body. I just want to make sure I wont be wasting a load of money buying this lens.
