Again following on from pauls suggestion of posting images, thought I would share some more. I have posted a lot of these on ephotozine, but not sure how many memebrs look on there.











I would appreciate anyones thoughts as I am still trying to get to grips with studio lighting, model poses and of course photoshop.

Most of you probably dont know me as I have only been down to the club around half a dozen times. I did attended the Astley mining museum shoot earlier in the year. My lack of attendeance is due to a clash of nights, as after joining adaps I stumbled across another photography club which is studio based (same as Ian Austen uses) and my current interest is in portrait photography. Having said that I have picked up loads of help and information from the adaps forum.

Thanks for posting more photos. I wish other people would. It's good seeing what everyone's upto...

I've done two shoots over the Christmas period, so will hopefully post some more photos in a few days.

I really like these. Ashlie is a stunner and I love the red hair.

These two - the 4th and 5th - are my favourites.

Did you use a red gel on the background in the 4th?

I like the intense stare in the 5th and the pose works well.

You're making great progress - with the lighting, posing and post-processing.

These are fantastic, the model is stunning. You have produced some really good work here, they are all really good but if I had to pick out a couple of favourites they would be No 1, I like the pose and the lighting, after looking at this image a few times I've started to notice the loose strands of hair around the top of her head, I may be tempted to clone these out if they were mine. I also like No 3, quite a close cropped portraiture, her eyes in this one are stunning, they look pin sharp and their colour contrast really well against her red hair, she has also got really good skin tones.
Well done, you must be really proud of all of these shots.

The skin tones are excellent and the lighting is also nicely done.

My feeling is that these are slightly let down by the model being a bit awkward and wooden. The poses perhaps could be more dynamic - she's just really standing in front of the camera without putting some life into it.

I would revisit the same concept and try and get her to loosen up a bit, which does happen as the model starts to know the photographer better.
