Visit to Air & Space Museum Manchester

I have arranged a photographic safari to the Air & Space Museum, Manchester, on Tuesday 30th June next. This has been arranged with the kind permission of Nick Forder, the Curator, and the museum volunteers. The last time we went we were allowed the wrong side of the boundary ropes, and were taken on board the Avro Shackleton, in small goups, accompanied by the volunteers. I anticipate that entry will be free, but we intend to have a 'whip round' for the benefit of the museum.
Entry will be allowed any time after 17.30hrs(Half past five). I understand that there is secure parking on site,(but there may be a charge for this)
We had a cracking time the last time we visited, and expect to see some tremendous pictures in forthcoming competions.
If you are interested in joining the club for the visit, please make an entry on the web site, put your name on the list on the club wall, or let John or I know. (Just so we hane a rough idea of numbers.)
Location instructions will be issued nearer the time, or you can visit the web site.
Happy snapping, Alan D.

Thanks for that Alan. Last time was a fantastic event, so we'll dust off our tripods and be there for sure.

I,ve reread the messages properly and it is from 1700hrs (five o clock) that access can be gained. Parking is specified as being free, by Mr Forder. I presume that we will have to show our new membership cards. I had a senior moment when typing the original message.

I'm sorry to say that I will have to miss this event, I would really have liked to have gone but I'll be giving it big licks with my air guitar at the last AC/DC concert in Glasgow, which I've waited a long time to see. Hopefully another visit will be made to the Air & Space Museum at a future date, of which I shall try my best to attend.
