Sunday 19th November 2017, and ADAPS visited the Avro Heritage Museum at Woodford. Checking in at the lodge, we then made our way across the old tarmac, past all the new housebuilding, until we reached the museum in its brand new building. As well as the Vulcan parked outside, which soon will be open to visitors, there were cockpits of the Vulcan to enter, plus a variety of other cockpits and exhibits to view. A smart new cafe for a coffee rounded off a very interesting couple of hours. The picture shows the ADAPS group, from the bottom of the stairs: John Riley, Bobby Loomba, Simon Openshaw, Trevor Sidebotham, John Hardman, Sue Shaw, Margaret Duckworth and Alan Duckworth.
