Last night's photo shoot with Lisa

Post by Theo Dibbits »

The portrait shoot last night was the most relaxed and enjoyable event I have been to for a long while.

Lisa is a great model and a good sport. There are some very interesting images to appear.

Dean was leading the way in setting up the lights, which left the rest of us sometime in the dark. :-d
But climbing way above the rest of us was Danny, which can be clearly seen on the picture below.

A big thank you to Gill and Lesley for organising it

A big thank you to everyone there last night, especially our lovely model Lisa. As Theo said it was a really relaxed atmosphere and I think we all had a real laugh and got some good shots! (even GRAB shots  ). It's what photography is all about having FUN. Heres to many more.

Hi

Thanks to Gill and Lesley for organising Friday night, it was a cracking night with lots of laughter, Lisa was a lovely model to work with. Here are a couple of my shots...

Can't make my mind up which I prefer of these two - the colour or the B&W - what do you think?

Colour for me but there appears to be a blue cast on the hand that detracts

I must agree, a good time was had by all. Thanks again to Gill and Lesley for organising it, (and for letting us amateurs join in :-d ).
Here is one of my humble attempts..

Three lovely portraits from two talented club memebers ( amateurs Keith ?-you sell yourself short there my friend)
Expression, lighting and hands are the 3 key components of any 3/4 length portrait. These are as good as many commercial portrait studios. Nice work both of you

Hi Mike,
thank you for your comments.
Although portraits aren't usually my speciality I am pleased with the results, as I am sure Tracey is too.
The amateur remark by the way is just an ongoing joke with Gill. I don't think anyone there on Friday felt they were too far out of their comfort zone.

best regards, keith.

Hi Mike

Thank you for your kind comments, I think I've a long way to go before I get any where near your standard.

Yes, you're right Keith, I'm happy with the images I got and will bring a disc for Gill (for Lisa) of some of the ones I have edited to the committee meeting on Monday night.

Tracey,
All very good but the one of Lisa with the hat on is my favourite, I must try to get down to one of these sessions but at present Friday is a busy night for me.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to look at the images I have posted and to respond to the question as to whether the colour or B&W version is of preference. I think the B&W has the edge over the colour. Thanks also to Bert for your comments on the one with the hat.
Best Wishes
