Inspirational Photographers
Thought it might be nice to start a feed which we could all put links to photographers who have inspired us, my favourite phototographer (apart from my hubby of course!) can be found here http://www.karltaylorphotography.co.uk. He has such a passion for his photography and has some wonderful DVD's which both explain and inspire. would love to hear other members thoughts.

Re: Inspirational Photographers
I agree, Karl Taylor has a very simple approach to photography.
My three favourite photographers at the moment are:
Brett Harkness (has been to the club, so glad I contacted him)
Peter Hurley (headshot photographer, former model)
Sue Bryce (my new favourite)
Google them all, you won't be disappointed.

Re: Inspirational Photographers
I tend to get enthusiastic about specific images rather than specific photographers, but there are plenty around who keep producing great stuff.
The key is to keep looking with an open mind, not to get trapped into one style or genre and keep learning. The more you learn the more you realise that there's much more to learn....

Re: Inspirational Photographers
I have two Inspirational Photographers, one of which I sometimes get close to, and the second I can only dream of doing anything like his work. The first is Keith Richardson and the second is Bert Haddock. You don't have to go very far in your own club to find inspiration. For any new members there are many more people at Atherton to give you encouragement John, Sue, Tracy, Tom, Pammie, Mike, Theo, Gill and Paul. Sorry if I missed you. Gerry

Re: Inspirational Photographers
Firstly Paul I would like to thank you for listing your inspirational photographers, I can see why you would choose them, the work they produce is exceptional, and Im sure you have learn't a lot from them. I sometimes find it a bind trawling through endless websites looking for ideas, which is why I asked the question on the forum. I thought maybe members would know some photographers who would help on my journey through the wonderful world of capturing that image that would move us.
John I realise that we are always learning, however as I am at the begining of my road, I am still searching for the genre of photographer I am, so although there are many types of photography, every photographer seems to find something which makes hooks them if not then I feel we wander round aimlessly and become bored trying to find something to grab us. We all take photographs, sometimes for pleasure and sometimes to capture one image that will make people want to stand and look at it and find a message within.
Gerry I realise there are some members in our club who produce some wonderful images and when I have found my place on my journey I will aspire to reach their heights because after all we want to be the very best at what we do.
