Viewing 35mm slides

I have recently had some 35mm slide film processed but have no way of looking at the images properly. What do I need to do to view these?

Ideally, a slide projector. I'll happily lend you one. Small hand viewers are also available, but you only end up with a small image which wastes a lot of the potential of the slide.

If you have a scanner, scan them then put them in your PC.

I didn't think about that. Will a normal scanner do or do you have to have a special one for slides?

A slide/negative scanner is best if you want any degree of quality. For quick viewing, may scanners have slide trays.

Why not, use your camera to scan them, you will potentially get much better results:

DIY 35mm negative duplicator - front
1 - 35mm slide mount
2 - toilet paper rolls
1 - 55mm polarizer with the glass removed
1 - old credit card
? - gaffer tape

End result: a 35mm negative duplicator that allows me to "scan" negatives with my DSLR.

Sue- we can scan your slides if you wish bring them to the club, and we can scan to around A3 size printable, and facebook size and put them to disc/dvd.
