Do these have to be pre-presented shots or can they be new as long as they fit a category?

They can be new or previously used in a monthly.
You can not use an image that has previously been used in an annual regardless on wether this was print or digital.

Please read the category definitions carefully in particular the natural history one.
No dogs, cats, geraniums, fusias etc. The fact that sheep roam freely over the moors does not make it a wild animal.
